The STEP3 server comes back online on 28th October 2021 after updating a new SSL certificate on its cloud server.
STEP3 is an effective algorithm and toolkit for predicting high-throughput phage virion (structual) proteins. It ensembles five PSSM-based models, to accurately identify phage virion (structual) proteins. Additionally, for each predicted phage virion (structual) proteins, STEP3 visualizes its closest relationship with known phage virion (structual) proteins based on the sequence similarity, phylogenetic tree and similarity network, as to facilitate users infer its possible subtype.
